At Jesus’ Little Lambs School, we celebrated Mother’s Day last week. Jessica and Tomasa greeted the mothers and thanked them for the example they are. Many of the mothers carry their grown children on their backs each week just so that they can come to school. The children worked on a special sewing project for their mothers, which they began months ago. We also have been learning songs and a drama so that we could perform them for the mothers! The children did an excellent job performing the drama “Jesus’ Entrance into Jerusalem”, and they threw real palm branches on the ground as “Jesus” (one of the children) passed through. The children gave their presents to their tearful mothers. Many mothers thanked God for the opportunity that their children now have to go to school. One of our students presented Hermana Sharon with a special Mother’s Day gift–a beautiful bag. We had a raffle and gave away beautiful flower arrangements. We ended the activity with coffee cake and coffee.
